Sorry I wasn't really able ta let me friends know I was okay. Can't write with no bones big bandages on yer hands. I am doin better, an thanks ta everybody who came ta see me, even though I wasn't much fer conversation. Pomfrey thinks I'll have me voice back by tomorrow. I'm ready ta be outta here, but she says it'll be another day at least.

I can't even think of what ta say bout this. It's unbelievable, brilliant, amazing, the best thing I've ever gotten. Da nearly had a heart attack when he realized what it was. Hell, I nearly had a heart attack. It's the only thing I ever wanted fer meself besides Lily, and I thought I'd have ta work fer years ta get it. An now...here it is. In pieces, but that's the best part.

I get home to find that me sisters have painted their half of the bedroom pink. Bubble gum pink. Oi. But, if it makes them happy, guess I can live with it.
Me an Da have already started work in the shop on Mum's Christmas present. Now that I'm 17 I can use me magic ta help. We're makin a wheelchair that pushes itself, since Mum ain't got any strength in her arms ta push the wheels. I think she'll like bein able ta go outside on her own again.
Even though this term's been real hectic at school, I think this is gonna be a pretty good Christmas. Long as I can keep me mind off Lily and the girl in the red dress. |

Right. Think I made up me mind, finally. I'll be goin ta the ball. Don't make much sense fer me ta do all the decoratin work an spend the rest of the evenin in me room. Torin was a nice enough bloke ta lend me some things an I got a mask from Flitwick. I think it's gonna be fun.
I'm helpin Sprout tend ta the ice truffles this evenin. It's a great feelin, being outside again.
